The song is produced.
It just needs a little more.
Mixing Plus is for songs that are mostly there, but still need a few creative, arrangement or production touches before the mix is finished.
We keep the production you've already built at the center of the song, address the details that still want attention, then bring everything together in the final mix.
The difference is what happens before the mix is finished.
Both services end with a finished mix. Mixing Plus gives us room to make a few focused creative changes first.
Everything is already where you want it.
The performances, arrangement, sounds and production choices are finished. The job is bringing them together into the mix.
The production is close, but something still wants attention.
Maybe the chorus needs another texture, a transition wants more energy, a keyboard part could support the vocal, or the song simply needs another creative perspective before the mix is locked.
Small changes can make a big difference.
The exact additions depend on the song. The goal isn't to rebuild your production. It's to help the production that's already there land.
Keys + Textures
Piano, synth, organ, pads or subtle layers that support the existing production.
Programming
Percussion, electronic elements, transitions or programmed details that strengthen the song.
Arrangement Details
Focused changes to transitions, dynamics, entrances, exits or sections that need more clarity.
Vocal Support
Focused vocal production ideas, edits, harmonies or supporting elements where they help the song.
Sound + Space
Creative effects and sound design that add depth, movement or atmosphere.
Another Set of Ears
Sometimes the missing piece isn't another instrument. It's a fresh perspective on what's already there.
Mixing Plus isn't a full production rebuild.
The additional production is intentionally focused. We're refining and supporting an existing production rather than starting over or building the arrangement from the ground up.
MIXING PLUS MAKES SENSE WHEN
- The core production already exists.
- The arrangement is mostly established.
- We're solving a handful of creative details.
- The song is close to the mixing stage.
NEED SOMETHING BIGGER?
Full Song Production may be the better path.
If we're substantially rebuilding the arrangement, creating most of the instrumentation or developing the song from an early demo, that's a production project rather than Mixing Plus.

Production Review
We identify the areas that still need creative or production attention before the final mix.
Focused Additions
Producer-led additions are developed around the production you've already built.
Full Mix
The updated production is brought together into one cohesive finished mix.
Editing + Tuning
Reasonable editing and tuning needed to support the finished song are included.
One Revision
One consolidated round of notes is included after the first finished mix.
Final Delivery
Professional WAV, MP3 and agreed alternate versions are prepared for the next stage.
The tools around the mix are included too.
Every Mixing Plus project includes the ASP resources that support preparation, creative communication, final delivery and mastering handoff. They're yours to keep and use on future projects.
Organize and deliver files clearly before the project begins.
Make sure edits, comps, exports, rough mixes and notes are ready.
Turn the records you love into useful creative and sonic direction.
Prepare the approved final mix properly for the mastering stage.
Included when the project involves remote session musicians or additional remotely recorded parts.
Figure out what wants attention. Then finish the song.
LISTEN
Send me where the song is now.
I'll hear the production, rough mix, references and anything you're already questioning.
DEFINE THE PLUS
We identify what actually needs attention.
The scope is established before work begins so we're clear about what belongs in the project.
BUILD
The focused production work happens.
New elements are developed around the song without replacing the production you've already built.
MIX
Everything comes together.
The updated production is mixed as one complete song.
YOUR NOTES
You respond to the finished mix.
Send one consolidated round of notes after listening and gathering any collaborator feedback.
DELIVER
The final files come back organized.
Once approved, your files are prepared for mastering, release and whatever comes next.
Ready for wherever the song goes next.
Common alternate mixes can include instrumental, TV mix and vocals-only versions when appropriate for the project.
Add mastering after mix approval.
Your approved mix can be sent to a trusted mastering engineer for $75 per song. ASP doesn't take a finder fee or add a markup.
If you already have a mastering engineer you trust, you're completely welcome to use them instead.
We agree on what "Plus" means before work begins.
Focused production, not a rebuild.
Mixing Plus is designed for a limited amount of additional production around an existing song.
One revision means one consolidated round.
Gather your notes and collaborator feedback into one pass so everything can be addressed together.
Outside musicians are separate.
If the project calls for an additional session musician, that player is quoted and approved before anything is booked.
Bigger changes get discussed first.
If the song begins turning into substantial new production, recording or arrangement work, we'll define the new scope before moving forward.
Additional revisions or work outside the agreed scope are billed at $150/hour with a one-hour minimum and are discussed before they're added.
Send me where it is now.
You don't need to know exactly what's missing. Send the current production and tell me what you're hearing. We'll figure out whether Mixing Plus is the right fit before anything is booked.
Nothing is booked or charged when you reach out.
