Bring the right players into your song.

Need live drums, bass, guitars, horns, strings, keys or background vocals? ASP can bring the right musicians and production support directly into your project without you having to assemble and coordinate the entire session yourself.

We establish what the song needs first, then build the right team around it.

REMOTE SESSIONS Real musicians.
One workflow.

The musician comes after the musical decision.

The goal is not to add live players just because we can. We first figure out what the production needs, then bring in a musician when the part will actually help the song.

That means the arrangement, feel and direction are established before the session begins, giving the player a clear musical target while still leaving room for their own instincts and personality.

01
Song first

The arrangement determines what belongs.

02

WHY "STARTING AT"?

A single part and a full arrangement are different sessions.

A simple bass performance may be one straightforward part. A guitar production could involve several layered performances. Horns and strings may require multiple players, multiple passes or more involved arranging.

We define what the song actually needs first, then confirm the player, session scope and final rate before anything is booked.

+

No outside session musician is booked until the role, arrangement, player and pricing have been discussed with you.

+

For a la carte outside session musicians, ASP does not add a separate finder fee or markup to the musician's agreed session rate.

The player is chosen for the music, not from a dropdown menu.

Different musicians bring different feels, tones, instincts and personalities to a performance.

You can book the instrument you need a la carte. ASP then confirms the player, availability and exact session scope before the musician is committed to the project.

The player joins the process when the song is ready for them.

ASP handles the musical direction and coordination so the session musician is stepping into a project with a clear role, not guessing what the song needs.

01

BUILD THE DIRECTION

Establish the production first.

We determine the arrangement, feel and role the live part needs to play inside the song.

02

YOU APPROVE

Hear the direction before the session.

For production projects, live musicians are not brought in until the overall musical direction has been established with you.

03

CHOOSE THE PLAYER

Match the musician to the song.

Choose from the roster yourself or let ASP help match the song with a player whose feel and instincts make sense for the production.

04

BRIEF THE SESSION

Give the musician a clear musical target.

The player receives the song, arrangement context and direction needed to understand the part inside the larger production.

05

RECORD

The session happens remotely.

The musician records from their own professional setup and delivers the agreed performances back to ASP.

06

INTEGRATE

The performance becomes part of the production.

Recorded parts return to the ASP workflow for editing, production and mixing as needed.

Bring the ASP Session Team into your project too.

The Session Team is not limited to ASP Full Song Production. If you're producing the song yourself and already know what part you need, you can book a focused a la carte session around your existing production.

Send the track, describe the part you're looking for and include any references or charts you already have. The player, exact scope and final rate are confirmed before the session is booked.

01

Organized Audio

Session files are delivered in an organized format that can be integrated into the production or mix.

02

Clear Arrangement

The performance is recorded around the agreed musical direction, structure and role of the part.

03

ASP Coordination

Communication with the musician stays inside one coordinated workflow rather than leaving you to manage multiple sessions separately.

We define the part before the player gets booked.

Session pricing depends on the amount of music being recorded, the player and the complexity of the arrangement, so the role of the musician is established first.

01

Starting rates assume a simple session.

Listed musician rates are designed around a straightforward single-part performance rather than a large layered arrangement.

02

More parts can mean a larger scope.

Layered guitars, horn sections, string arrangements or multiple performances may require additional time and pricing.

03

Nothing gets booked without approval.

You'll know the player, role and quoted session cost before ASP commits the musician to your project.

+

NO FINDER FEE

The musician's rate is the musician's rate.

For a la carte outside session musicians, ASP does not add a finder fee or markup to the musician's agreed session rate. My role is to help connect the right player with the right song and keep the session moving cleanly.

ASP-provided services such as Keys / Additional Production and Background Vocal Production use their own listed service pricing.

Tell me what the song needs.

If you already know the instrument you need, choose an a la carte session above. If you're not sure who or what would serve the song best, send me what you have and we'll figure it out together.

+

No outside musician is booked and nothing is charged when you first reach out.
