Mix + Master Prep Bundle

Get the song ready for the last two stages before release.

The Mix + Master Prep Bundle brings together three ASP Recordings resources designed to help artists prepare a production for mixing, communicate the sound they’re chasing, and hand the finished mix off to mastering without avoidable confusion.

It covers the workflow from final multitrack prep through mastering delivery, so the engineer on the other end spends less time sorting files and more time working on the record.

Included in the Mix + Master Prep Bundle:

Mix Prep Checklist
Finish the production decisions before the mixer gets the files. Finalize comps and edits, consolidate tracks from the same start point, clean up track names, prepare the correct export format, manage dry vs. printed effects, include a rough mix, and package useful notes and references.

Reference Track Worksheet
Turn the records you love into useful mix direction. Choose two or three focused references, identify exactly what each one is for, timestamp important moments, analyze vocals, low end, arrangement and energy, then compare those records directly against your own rough.

Master Delivery Checklist
Prepare the approved final mix before it reaches mastering. Check playback systems, sample rate, bit depth, headroom, mix-bus processing, intros and tails, alternate versions, metadata, sequencing, references, naming and final delivery.

Together, the three resources create a straightforward final-production workflow:

Prep. Mix. Master.

Organize the multitracks. Communicate the target. Deliver an approved mix that is actually ready for mastering.

Best for:

• Independent artists preparing songs for professional mixing
• Producers handing finished productions to a mixer
• Artists working with remote mix and mastering engineers
• Home-studio musicians finishing releases
• Engineers preparing client projects
• Anyone moving a song from finished production toward its release master
