Take your song from an idea, demo or unfinished production to a finished record.

Full Song Production is the most complete version of working with ASP Recordings. We’ll develop the arrangement, instrumentation, performances, sound and overall direction of the song together, then carry that vision all the way through the final mix.

The process is collaborative from beginning to end. You bring the song and the creative vision. My job is to help build the record around it without losing what made the song yours in the first place.

The Production Process

We’ll start with whatever you currently have. That might be a voice memo, acoustic demo, rough production, Logic session or nearly finished track.

From there, I’ll listen to where the song is now, where you want it to go and what it needs to get there.

The first stage is about establishing the record itself - arrangement, instrumentation, feel, dynamics and production direction.

Depending on the project, I may build a working production using programmed or digital instruments first so we can make creative decisions before committing to final performances.

Once the direction is established, we’ll develop the finished production and bring everything together in the mix.

Live Session Musicians

If the song would benefit from additional live players, ASP can bring in musicians from the session team for drums, bass, guitars, horns, strings and other instrumentation.

Session musician costs are quoted separately based on what the song requires and will always be discussed with you before anything additional is booked.

How It Works

Submit your song and project information through the production intake form.

I’ll review what you send and get a sense of the creative direction, current state of the song and likely production scope.

From there, we can schedule a short consultation if needed, confirm what the project requires and establish the production schedule before payment.

The $1,999 price is the starting point for one-song production. If the song requires additional musicians, unusually extensive editing, specialty recording or significantly expanded production scope, I’ll go over that with you before we move forward.

Turnaround

Production timelines vary depending on the song, arrangement, session requirements and current schedule.

We’ll establish the expected timeline before the project begins so you know what to expect.

Revisions

One revision round is included.

That covers normal production and mix adjustments once you’ve had time to live with the first completed version.

Major rewrites, substantial arrangement changes, replacement recordings or a significant change in creative direction after production is underway may require additional work.

What You’ll Receive

Depending on the agreed project scope, final delivery can include:

Logic project/session availability when applicable

If you want a complete archive of the finished production, a full session can also be prepared for delivery on a dedicated drive for an additional fee.

Not Sure If You Need Full Production?

If your production is already finished and primarily needs a professional mix, choose Mixing.

If the production is mostly finished but needs a few additional instruments, textures, vocals or arrangement touches, Mix Plus may be the better fit.

Full Song Production is for projects that need deeper creative development and production involvement from the ground up.

Professional mastering can be coordinated through ASP for $75 per song. There is no ASP markup or finder fee, and you are always welcome to use your own mastering engineer instead.

$1,999 is the starting point.

The base price covers Steve's production work, the ASP Demo stage, professional mixing, one consolidated revision and the Complete ASP Artist Toolkit. Every song is different, so the final scope can still change depending on where we are starting and what the finished record needs.

Outside session musicians, local studio or engineer costs, optional mastering and work beyond the agreed scope are separate. Nothing extra is booked or added without discussing it with you first.

$1,999 is the starting production price. The base production includes the ASP Demo, production and arrangement work, professional mixing, one consolidated revision and the Complete ASP Artist Toolkit. The final scope depends on where the song begins and what the finished production requires. Any additional ASP costs are discussed and approved separately.

ASP Session Team costs are separate. If the production calls for outside drums, bass, guitars, horns, strings or other musicians, those players are quoted separately based on the needs of the song.

Production is remote. Steve Maggiora is the producer and musician working on site at ASP Recordings. Additional musicians and collaborators record remotely and their performances are assembled into the production through ASP.

Your outside recording costs are separate. If you need to record your vocals, instruments or other parts at a studio in your area, the studio, engineer and related recording costs are your responsibility. ASP can help connect you with or coordinate with a local studio when needed.

I understand that $1,999 is the starting price for Full Song Production. Final pricing depends on the starting point, the approved production scope and what the song requires. Any additional ASP costs will be discussed before that additional work is booked or added.

REQUIRED ASP Session Team

I understand that additional ASP Session Team musicians are not included in the $1,999 starting price. If the production calls for additional drums, bass, guitars, horns, strings or other outside musicians, those costs will be quoted separately and approved before the players are booked.

REQUIRED Remote Production

I understand that Full Song Production through ASP Recordings is a remote production service. Steve Maggiora is the only producer / musician working on site at ASP Recordings. Additional musicians and collaborators are brought into the project remotely as needed.

REQUIRED Your Recording + Outside Studio Costs

I understand that if I need to record my own vocals, instruments or other performances at a local studio or other recording facility, those studio, engineer and related recording costs are my responsibility and are not included in ASP's production price. ASP can help me locate or coordinate with a studio in my area if needed.
